We Got Probed! ...Hilarie, DO NOT READ ON!!
We were feeling rugged this past weekend, so we decided to go camping for the second time since we have known each other. The last time was when we first met two years ago. Needless to say Mallory is the wussiest camper on the face of the planet, but I got her excited about sleeping on the hard earth in the middle of nowhere. We had so much fun and have too many pictures to put on the blog, but we picked out the best. First, watch this video of the warm springs...
We drove six hours to a town called Rachel, NV, a town so small that it didn't even have a gas station (the closes one was 40 miles from the town and 90 from where we camped). Rachel is known for UFO sightings and being on the other side of the mountain of Nellis Air Force base (aka AREA 51). We met up with our friends Rishawn and Megan from Vegas and then drove another hour on the extraterrestrial highway and did NOT see any form of civilization or any cars!! We arrived at the end of the road...the END of the road!! ...and there in the middle of nowhere is this concrete pool filled with hot spring water and a ghost town!! It was the craziest thing we had ever seen and really freaky. No cell phone service and just enough gas to get back to the closest gas station 90 miles away. Mallory was more afraid of getting killed and buried in the deseret by a serial killer than getting beamed up and probed.

This is the road that the locals tell us leads to Area 51…
This is the spot where we set up camp and looked for UFO's, we didn't see anything...

On the way home, we had to pay homage to the chicken ranch where Mallory could have grown up. Thank you Jim and Robin for moving...

it makes perfect sense that mallory would be afraid of the serial killers. that is HER phobia after all! ME - i definately would have been afraid of the beaming and probing!!!!!
and, by the way, i did 'grow up' on that chicken ranch! you should see the pictures!!
aaawwww... memories... you guys will remember this stuff forever! FUN!
You have absolutely got to be kidding me...seriously... you may have gotten probed and really not known it. Have you thought about that? Maybe you will find out you are pregnant next week and when you give birth it will be half alien. That would really suck. Yikes. And not to mention swimming in that nasty hot spring pool. Are you serious! That scene could have been in a serial killer movie. Was that a movie set? Because that is how really freaky it looked.
Did you go in the water? You are a very brave girl to go to no-mans land. What about all the mice!So happy you are home. Tell Ryan to keep you safe in the city!
Megan makes a good point. An alien baby may be on the way. The upside of alien babies, however, is their high tolerance for germs and disease although it's been said that they tend to creep out other kids at the park. Good luck.
Way to be spontanious and crazy newlyweds without kids! Live it up while you can! However, there is no way I would've gotten into that water...that's nasty!
I can't believe you camped out there; I would think there is a 70% chance of getting murdered out there.
