my new job

I'm sooooo excited! I interviewed at a few schools this last week when I was in Houston and this school was by far top on my list. I wanted to teach here so bad. Carl Wunsche Sr. High school is a Career and Technology academy in Spring ISD. Students may apply to come here for 10-12 grade. At the school you take course in your chosen career path. I will be teaching students that think they would like to be teachers themselves early childhood through high school. Students can take classes in so many different fields: pharmacy, EMT, drafting, auto shop, culinary arts, helicopter and plane pilot, veterinary, criminal justice, horticulture, and the list goes on and on. The school was built in 2006, is beautiful, fully equipped with all the latest technology and every student is issued a laptop for school and home use! I am SO EXCITED! And not to mention how awesome all the staff and administration I have met is!

ryan's graduation

Ryan graduated from BYU in April with his Masters and Bachelors in Accounting! I'm so proud of him and he is so excited to be done with school! Yea!! Now he is studying for the CPA Exam which he will hopefully take all 4 sections by the end of this year. It was pretty cool because Bill Marriott was the speaker at his graduation from the Marriott school of Business in the Marriott center. It was a really great day and Ryan could not be more happy to be done!!
Some of Ryan's friends! Ryan's sister, Amy, and her two kids and his brother Scott. These are some of Ryan's friends from the internship office that Ryan had worked at during this last year of school.

ryan's last semester of school EVER

Ryan has started his LAST SEMESTER of college ever! He is so excited that he will be done with school forever. I always ask him if he wants to get his MBA ever, but he always says no. Which is a good thing because I would die to have to go back to being like a poor student in some remote town somewhere after living the good life of making money for a few years! Is that bad? Oh well! I'm so proud of him for having his masters degree! Way to go Ryan!

i'm done!

I'm done....I'm officially done! I took my very last final of my college career today! It was such a freaking awesome feeling! Now I just have to sit and wait for my diploma to show up in the mail! I don't really know why I put hot air balloons to represent this, but oh well. On a side note, how amazing would a hot air balloon ride be?!!!!

BYU graduation

Check me out! I am a BYU graduate (kind of). I walked this April and will officially graduate in August. I have one more class left to take this summer! It was sooooo soo exciting. The first day was commencement for the whole graduating class in the Marriott center.

Then the next day was my college convocation. It was great to have my sisters Megan and Hilarie come in from out of town for my graduation, and Ryan's parents came up from Las Vegas. Thanks you guys for coming to celebrate with me!!!
These are some of the girls that are from my major. We are all working hard at becoming home-ec teachers at a school somewhere! Let me know if you hear of a job anywhere in the Utah Valley region :)

first day

Yesterday I went to my school to meet my mentor teacher for the first time. When I pulled up in front, so scared and nervous, this is what I see in front of me with its lights flashing and everything......and there was a cop car too. I was thinking crap, probably a school stabbing or something!
But I just geared up and walked right in past the ambulance and come to find out everything was fine! Some parent had called the police and said they had received a phone call from a student in the school in distress. But it was a false alarm and no student in distress could be found. It turned out to be great, I think it will be a really good semester! I will have more details later, and you know tons of funny stories! But- so far so good! And we are loving Houston, we are having so much fun! I have already eaten at this delicious, cheap BBQ place 3 times! I can't help myself! Goode Co. BBQ is where it's at!!!! you have been compromised

I have to tell this funny story because it just cracks me up. The other day I am studying in a computer lab on campus, when a lady lab attendant comes up to the kid next to me and tells him, "I'm sorry sir, your computer has been compromised." And she was so nervous and stern. I just started laughing because it sounded so funny. It was as if he was like James Bond and the Russians just found him. But now, POSTED EVERYWHERE, are signs, emails, and its on the main student web page that the campus really has been "compromised". Apparently most computers on campus have a virus that is being passed around through everyone's USB drives. So the lady wasn't kidding, and if you have used a USB drive on campus lately (which I have) you apparently will most likely have a virus. So then there is instructions that tell you what to do about it. But anyways, it was really funny, maybe you had to be there.

BYU Football

This was at the first game this season. We had a lot of fun, but it was so surprisingly hot outside. And I was also a little sad because none of the games this season have been or will be at night. It is always fun to get bundled up and go to a game at night, but there is always next year for a night game!
